AGAINST THE LAW
a five-star book and a “must read” . . .
I wasn’t sure what to expect when
I agreed to review “Against the Storm” by author Kat Martin but…I
certainly didn’t expect to read a romance novel that was as
fast-paced, compelling and interesting as one of today’s
well-written action / adventure novels. After finishing my copy of
“Against the Storm” I can completely understand why Kat Martin is a
New York Times and USA Today bestselling author.

Having read the two prior books
in Kat Martin’s The Raines of Wind Canyon series, AGAINST THE WIND
and AGAINST THE FIRE, I’ll have to say that AGAINST THE LAW is the
most intensely suspenseful of the three. This book was also like two
stories in one. The first part deals with the search for the little
girl, while the second part is what happens afterwards. To give away
too much would be providing spoilers….
Once you start AGAINST THE LAW,
be prepared not to stop until you’ve reached the end. With its

The third Raines
of Wind Canyon romantic suspense thriller (see Against the Fire and
Against the Wind) is a terrific tense tale filled with twists and
spins as nothing goes according to Raines’ plan. He, like his older
brothers, is a strong hero, but has met his equal in Lark who
fearlessly stomps on snakes. Timely with the plight of young
females being sold, readers will root for the pair to rescue her
niece as we fear what has happened to that little girl.

The third installment of Kat Martin’s series The
Raines of Wind Canyon is as compelling if not more
so than the two previous books. This novel takes us
on a wild journey to save a young girl while two
adults learn what it means to be in love and to
trust in that love. The suspenseful elements of this
story create a story that is impossible to put down

4.5 Stars! An amazing storyline that will keep you
enthralled as you wait to see the developments not only of the

every way together than on their own.
Comments from Readers!
I have read all three books in
the Raines Brothers Series by Kat Martin and LOVED them. Great
characters, suspense and romance - a great combination. It was my
first time reading this author and I can't wait to go back and read
more of her books! Kelly
The first time I read anything by
Kat Martin was this series, and I am hooked! She does a great job
with the characters, the romance and the suspense! Shelby
Kat Martin out did herself with her
third book Against the Law. You can't help but fall in love with
Lark and Devlin as they along with some friends search for her
sisters illegally adopted daughter. Watching two people fall in love
with a child they have never even seen before but are scared to
death for was just brilliant. It was an onset to watching them
struggle to fight thier own feelings of love for each other.
I discovered Kat Martin last year.
I have loved everything of hers that I have read so far. This is the
third in this series and to me it was the best of the series so far.
I really like the bigger than life h/h. I read somewhere that there
may be more stories coming that will be based on some of the
characters in the main character's past life. To me the brotherhood
of the men and the mystery of special ops forces add so much to the
story. I am excited about hearing the stories of this group. Kat
Martin is an author that satisfies my craving for action, love,
romance, and just plain ole happy ending. Sandra
